#AfDES 2019 Pitch Competition will showcase innovative ideas focused on entrepreneurship and the African diaspora. Selected candidates will pitch their ventures to a panel of expert judges and conference attendees. Ventures will be judged on potential for growth, innovation and relevance to the African Diaspora and Entrepreneurship.
We are looking for new, independent ventures in the seed, startup, or early growth stages, focused on Africa or serving the Africa diaspora community. If you meet these criteria, you should apply.
Selection Process
All applicants will be notified of the preliminary results. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the next stage. Finalists who agree to pitch their venture at the conference are required to purchase their own conference ticket
Day of the Pitch
Finalists will pitch their ventures to a panel of expert judges and conference attendees. Each venture will be judged on potential for growth, innovation and relevance to the African Diaspora and Entrepreneurship.
