​Since December 2017, she is has held a founding position as Senior Manager Consultant, and director of executive training in Business and entrepreneurship programs sponsored by The Luso-American Development Foundation, FLAD. The Programs are aimed at people looking for an opportunity to create their own company, and to acquire training and education in the field of business innovation; as well as entrepreneurs wishing to affirm themselves and grow their businesses sustainably in the U.S market.
The program has three main components: Conferences and workshops; a Mentorship program https://letstalkaboutbusiness.org (Web app) and studies of encompassing professionals from different fields of knowledge and successful experience directed to the Portuguese language community of entrepreneurs in the United States (Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Jersey).

Carmen is the founder of her own company “CM – CONSULTING AND TRAINING”, a Strategic Planning and Business Development Company working in Portugal, Angola and in Cape Verde, since 2014. Carmen is a senior advisor international development consultant in several international projects and trainer in programs for business executives.
Between 1995 and 2017 – National Bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Portugal. Senior executive manager and consultant. Leadership of  the marketing team with creating collateral marketing, designing email campaigns, managing marketing materials for trade shows, and performing market research projects. Developed annual Marketing Plan for National Bank with over 9,000 employees. Leadership and organization of Training Programs for business such as commercial agents in real estate and account manager in Loan Departments. Product manager in the Mortgage Department. Worked in the residential mortgage department for seven years. Responsible for continuing training for a large team of mortgage professional in departments across the band.

*Led commercial team to achieve annual increase in financial products sales of 20% annually.

Visiting Professor at NOVA University in Angola Business School, in Angola, since 2016 – in the fields of business, management, communication and marketing.

This book received the Award of the Institute of Media, Presidency of the Council of Ministers, from Portugal, Media XXI Publishing, Portuguese Edition, Paperback 2016.
